New F-150 Appearance Package is Aggressive and Striking

Each new model of the F-150 offers something new to an already excellent Ford truck lineup. In addition to neat available features like Pro Trailer Backup Assist and an available compressed natural gas powertrain, the 2016 Ford F-150 will offer an available Special Edition Appearance Package on select trim levels. 2016 Ford F-150 Lariat Special Edition Appearance Package

Available on the Lariat and XLT trims, the new Ford F-150 Special Edition Appearance Packages adds a little attention-grabbing flare to the already tough and fierce look of the F-150. Sides are set off by black running boards and unique body graphics, as well as specific badging for the package. The front receives a specialized dark anodized grille. The XLT edition will have a black mesh on the grill while the Lariat version will feature red contrast bars.

The 2016 Ford F-150 Special Edition Appearance package will also feature new 20-inch aluminum wheels. They will be anodized and dark-painted with red lettering. Smoked headlamps will round out the exterior accents.

On the interior the Special Edition Appearance Package will feature seats with red contrast stitching and red bolsters, as well as Alcantara inserts for top durability and stain resistance matched with the feel of find suede upholstery. The steering wheel, transmission gear selector boot and instrument panel will also receive red accent stitching. The Special Edition Appearance Package will first require an upgrade to the Sport Appearance Package.

Other changes to the Ford F-150

Other external changes to the 2016 Ford F-150 include the switch to Shadow Black from Tuxedo Black, and the replacement of Guard Metallic with Lithium Gray as exterior color options. The previous MyFord Touch system on the Ford F-150 will also be replaced with the SYNC 3 system, which has proven to offers smoother and quicker response times in other Ford vehicles.
