How many trim levels are offered on the 2017 Ford Expedition?

The 2017 Ford Expedition has made its way onto dealership lots everywhere. The latest version of this great SUV offers impressive capabilities, with a powerful engine and cavernous storage space combining to make this one of the most versatile vehicles currently available. Adding to this versatility are the various Expedition trim levels. So how many trim levels are offered on the 2017 Ford Expedition?

2017 Ford Expedition Trim Levels and Features

Ford offers the 2017 Expedition in four trim levels. Everything starts with the base XLT trim. Even though it is the lowest trim level, the Expedition XLT still comes equipped with a long list of great standard features. 2017 Expedition XLT models offer automatic headlights, a roof rack, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, heated mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Sync voice controls and Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary connectivity.

Two available packages for the XLT add features like a power liftgate, leather upholstery, a power-folding third-row seat, remote ignition, dual-zone automatic climate control, a household style outlet, heated and ventilated front seats and the Sync 3 touchscreen infotainment system.

Next comes the Expedition Limited trim. This trim adds 20-inch wheels, front parking sensors, automatic wipers, heated second-row seats and a 12-speaker Sony sound system. This trim can also be equipped with a sunroof, a voice-activated navigation system and retractable running boards.

The King Ranch Edition Expedition adds a Western flare to the SUV. This trim features special two-tone paint and exterior styling. Interior upgrades include leather upholstery and wood grain trim. King Ranch models also add a blind-spot monitoring system.

The final Platinum trims includes all of the features mentioned above, 22-inch wheels and a sunroof are added as final touches.

The 2017 Expedition can also be equipped with several stand-alone options. These include a load-leveling rear suspension, adaptive suspension dampers, a rear seat entertainment system and second-row captain’s chairs.
