New Ford headlights

Aside from the fact that Ford vehicles are efficient, affordable and stylish, more and more they are proving to be some of the most advanced, user-friendly vehicles around. It seems as though every time we turn around, Ford has a new available feature or setting or vehicle that is making drivers’ lives easier and safer.

Just recently, Ford announced that it is working on developing new and improved lighting technology that makes it easier to see potentially hazardous situations when driving at night. This is often a scary time for people who walk at night, or even drivers at night, who have ever had something unexpected jump or pop out at them. This is the type of technology that makes all roadways safer and makes for a better user experience.

These new Ford headlights are more than just new headlights; they use a camera-based active front lighting system that widens the beams of light after deciphering it is going to travel through junctions and roundabouts.

The lights also utilize a GPS-enabled system with a forward-facing camera to remember certain roads and the appropriate lighting while traveling these roads to more effectively help drivers see bends in the road.

The final way these lights differ from your traditional headlights is that they are incredibly technologically advanced. The lighting system uses an infrared camera to detect pedestrians, bicyclists and animals on the road before something detrimental happens. The lights are so advanced and the system is so high-tech that it can see up to eight potential hazards at a time and it will highlight the two highest priorities on the road as well as in an on-screen display.
