Now, Pro Trailer Backup Assist on the 2016 Ford F-150 has even been the top CES 2016 Best of Innovation Awards Honoree by the Consumer Technology Association in the Vehicle Intelligence category.

We previously mentioned Pro Trailer Backup Assist in a post about other Driver Assist technologies on Ford vehicles. This technology allows drivers to steer the trailer’s wheel where they want to go using a knob in the dashboard. When this system is active, Pro Trailer Backup Assist will manage the fine steering required to get the trailer into the exact required position. While this system is a huge benefit to folks who don’t need to use the trailer as often (bringing the boat up to the lake two or three times per year, for example) but it can also save time for folks who are old, experienced hands at trailering. And that is why it was named one of the Best Innovations by the CTA.

Pro Trailer Backup Assist on the 2016 Ford F-150 and other Ford trucks is the end result of decades of testing and fine-tuning, based on advanced camera technology. Like other driver assist technologies, it promises to help folks get even more work out of their great Ford trucks.
