2016 Ford Expedition Atlanta GA

The 2016 Ford Expedition near Atlanta GA offers the power and performance to handle any job. The strong V6 engine provides the power necessary to earn excellent towing numbers and the large body of the Expedition offers the storage space to haul plenty of cargo or people.

All of these capabilities are backed up by a stellar safety rating and long list of great features. Very few vehicles can match the capabilities of a large SUV, and the very few large SUVs can match the 2016 Ford Expedition.

Engine

Under the hood of the 2016 Ford Expedition is a powerful, turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine. The engine produces 365 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. By turbocharging a smaller engine, Ford is able maximizing fuel economy ratings. Estimates check in at 16 city/22 highway miles per gallon, some of the best gasoline numbers in the large SUV class.

Towing and Storage

When properly equipped, the Expedition’s V6 engine can tow up to 9,200 pounds. Behind the third row of seats, the SUV offers 18.6 cubic feet of storage space. Folding down all rows of seats increases this number to 108.3 cubic feet. The larger Expedition EL offers even more space at 130,8 cubic feet. Putting the seats back up allows the Expedition to seat up to eight passengers.

Safety

Ford places a great emphasis on safety with all of their vehicles, and the Expedition is no exception. The Ford MyKey system as well as rear parking sensors and a rearview camera are standard on all models. Available safety features include front parking sensors and a blind-spot monitoring system. In government safety testing, the Expedition earned the highest possible score of five stars.
