2018 Ford F-150 Lineup: More Engine Choices, More Power, More Capability and Better Gas Mileage than the 2018 GMC Sierra Lineup

As you can see in the table above, the 2018 Ford F-150 lineup completely outmatches, outclasses and outperforms the 2018 GMC Sierra lineup. And, as it usually does with pickup trucks, it all starts under the hood, where the new Ford F-150 lineup lets you choose from a total of six engines while the new GMC Sierra lineup has only three engines to choose from. You’re also getting more power and more capability with those 2018 F-150 engines. That’s because the new F-150 lineup tops out at 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque, whereas the new Sierra lineup tops out at only 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. That additional power also means additional capability, as the 2018 Ford F-150 lineup can tow up to 13,200 pounds and haul up to 3,270 pounds, while the 2018 GMC Sierra lineup can tow up to only 12,500 pounds and haul up to only 2,250 pounds.
