Rolling through 2019, the Ford F-150 remains America’s best-selling pickup. The model’s striking popularity is largely thanks to its near limitless configurations. Across the 2019 F-150 lineup, Ford offers six astonishingly robust engine options: the 3.3L TI-VCT V6, 2.7L EcoBoost, 3.0L Power Stroke V6 TurboDiesel, 3.5L EcoBoost, 5.0L TI-VCT V8 and 3.5L High Output EcoBoost.

2019 Ford F-150 Engine Options and Specs

3.3L TI-VCT V6 - Standard on the XL and XLT, the 3.3-liter TI-VCT V6 kicks off the F-150 lineup with 290 horsepower and 265 lb.-ft. of torque. The base-level engine brings a max towing capacity of 7,700 lbs. and max payload of 1,990 lbs.

2.7L EcoBoost - The 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 is also available on XL and XLT models, becoming standard on the Lariat. The V6 ups those power specs to 325 horsepower and an astonishing 400 lb.-ft. of torque. Max towing and payload capacity also get rocketed, climbing to 9,000 lbs. and 2,470 lbs.

3.0L Power Stroke V6 TurboDiesel - Available on XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum models, the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 delivers up to 250 horsepower and 440 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine also gives a bump in towing potential with a max towing capacity of 11,300 lbs. and max payload of 1,980 lbs.

3.5L EcoBoost - Also available on the F-150 XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum, the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 offers 375 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. This robust V6 offers the highest towing figures of the 2019 F-150 engine lineup, offering a best-in-class max towing capacity of 13,200 lbs., plus 3,230 lbs. max payload.

5.0L TI-VCT V8 - The 5.0-liter V8 comes as optional on the F-150 XL, XLT and Lariat and standard on King Ranch and Platinum models. The V8 achieves 395 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine offers slightly less than the 3.5L EcoBoost for max towing at 11,500 lbs. but bumps max payload to 3,270 lbs.

3.5L High Output EcoBoost - The F-150's 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 is offered exclusively on Raptor and Limited models. The engine brings the pickup to max power, hammering out a best-in-class 450 horsepower, plus 510 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine also brings the two top-level trims to a max towing capacity of 11,100 lbs. and max payload of 1,520 lbs.
