The future is now. Thanks to Ford, what was once science fiction will soon become nonfiction as Ford has unveiled its next-generation Fusion Hybrid autonomous development vehicle. This state-of-the-art new Ford Fusion Hybrid uses the current Ford autonomous vehicle platform while upping the processing power with new computer hardware. Electrical controls are closer to production-ready than ever before while adjustments to the sensor technology – including placement – allow the car to better see what’s around it. New LiDAR sensors also have a sleeker design and a more targeted field of vision enabling the car to use just two sensors instead four while still getting just as much data. Intrigued?
