The idea of wearable technology isn\u2019t really anything new and it\u2019s not really surprising, to us at least, that the automotive industry is now jumping on the bandwagon. The types of technology in new cars such as the Ford Fusion<\/a> or the Ford Edge<\/a> are revolutionary and for many drivers, the first times they are seeing features such as Active Park Assist, a voice-activated turn-by-turn navigation system, a front-facing camera that can see around corners, as well as an engine that starts with just the push of a button.However, until now anyways, there has not been a way to bring that technology with you when you leave your vehicle. While there are a number of drivers who are excited about the Apple Watch, what is more exciting to us is the app that Ford is launching is compatible with any smartwatch and electric Ford vehicle.<\/p>\n

The app can do everything from show you your electric car\u2019s engine charge, to finding charging stations and remote starting your engine.<\/p>\n

Some of our other favorite MyFord App free features<\/strong> include showing you on a map where you parked so you don\u2019t have to worry about forgetting, displaying trip information, monitoring of tire pressure and at the end of each trip, the app will display stats including your electric vehicle range, your overall driving score and more.<\/p>\n

Ford is aiming to make its mark on the automotive industry by becoming an overall mobility solutions company and plans to integrate it custom and trademark technology into other types of transportation such as electric bicycles and public transportation.<\/p>\n
