How to Turn Off the Auto Start-Stop Feature <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Turning the Auto Start-Stop feature off in the Ford F-150 is really quite easy. In fact, you won’t have to sift through a single menu or settings screen to get the job done. You can disable this feature using the Auto Start-Stop button (pictured to the right), which is typically located on the dashboard above your central touchscreen display. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that Auto Start-Stop will reset to the ON position each time you shut off the vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Why Is My Auto Start-Stop Not Working?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A green Auto Start-Stop icon will be illuminated in your instrument cluster display when the Auto Start-Stop system has cut off engine power. If you notice Engine Auto Start-Stop isn’t kicking in at a stop, don’t fret. There are a number of reasons a perfectly functional start-stop system may not turn off the engine while idling. Auto Start-Stop will not shut your engine off at every stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your engine may also restart if necessary to maintain interior comfort or to recharge the battery. Auto Start-Stop will also be automatically disabled if you’re towing a trailer or using the 4H or 4L feature of the four-wheel drive system.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
