There are currently no state incentives in Georgia for purchasing an electric vehicle. Interestingly, Georgia used to have one of the largest state EV tax credits in the United States. In 2015 the state legislature repealed the $5,000 income tax credit, which was available for the purchase or lease of new pure-electric vehicles. Legislators are mulling over plans to reinstate tax credit incentives on new electric, zero emission, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles in coming years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
