Have you ever wanted to rent a race car? Well, you may get a chance with the launch of the 50th Anniversary Edition Ford Shelby GT-H. Ford, Shelby, and the Hertz car rental company have teamed up to produce a top-of-the-line vehicle that harkens back to the 1966 Ford GT350-H.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 1966 Ford Shelby GT350-H became a legend from the moment it was introduced,\u201d said Joe Conway, Co-CEO of Carroll Shelby International and CEO of Shelby American in a recent Ford press release. \u201cTen years ago, the 2006 Ford Shelby GT-H earned the same \u2018rock star\u2019 status when it was introduced at the New York Auto Show. We worked closely with Ford Performance to make the 2016 Shelby GT-H the most exciting Mustang ever to wear the iconic Hertz black and gold livery.\u201d<\/p>\n

Where Can I Rent a 2016 Ford Shelby GT-H?<\/h2>\n

Starting on Memorial Day Weekend, 140 Ford Shelby GT-H Mustangs will be available to rent at select airports in the continental United States through the Hertz Adrenaline Collection to celebrate 50 years of iconic speed and driving<\/a>. As of posting, the GT-H will be available in Atlanta GA right near Akins Ford. You can check the Hertz page on this great vehicle<\/a> for updates as Memorial Day gets closer.<\/p>\n

Performance highlights for the 2016 GT-H<\/h3>\n

Not only does the GT-H look great in the Hertz colors of black with dual gold racing stripes, but there’s a lot of power and precision going on under the hood and in the interior as well. The 2016 Ford Shelby GT-H will come with a 5.0-liter V8 engine, the Ford Performance Handling Pack and chrome tipped exhaust, and a host of unique Shelby GT-H performance and appearance enhancements. A Shelby carbon fiber<\/a> front splitter, rear spoiler, polycarbonate hood and hood vents, and rocker panels with carbon fiber accents will contribute to speed, handling and style.<\/p>\n
