Ford has been making automatic transmissions standard on many of its most popular vehicles, and that leaves many fans to wonder if the all-new 2021 Ford Bronco will feature a manual transmission when it arrives at Akins Ford this summer. Class-Exclusive 7-Speed Manual Transmission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s right, purists can lay down their pitchforks, as the 2021 Ford Bronco will have a manual transmission for its debut year. The Bronco\u2019s class-exclusive 7-speed manual transmission is entirely new, making it now one of only three Ford vehicles on today’s market with a manual transmission. The other two manual-endowed entries from the stable are Mustangs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ford says the manual will provide maximum low-speed rock-climbing capability when paired with the available advanced 4×4 system with automatic on-demand engagement. The duo makes for a class-leading crawler-gear ratio of 94.75:1. Broncos equipped with the standard manual will also include a Granny Gear and Crank in Gear function, plus a Hill Descent Control\u2122 feature that continually adjusts braking pressure to help control slippage and maintain a constant speed while traveling down a steep slope. The one caveat is that the 7-speed manual transmission is only available on Bronco 2-Door models with Part Time Selectable Engagement and the 2.3-liter EcoBoost\u00ae inline-4 engine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
