When is the next Ford GT application period?<\/h2>\n

The first application period for the all-new Ford GT supercar just closed. By the end of the period, over 6,000 people had applied for one of the first 250 models of the new car. If you missed out on submitting an application and are wondering when the next Ford GT application period is, you may have to wait a little while.<\/p>\n

Split Ford GT Production<\/h3>\n

500 total Ford GT supercars<\/a> will be produced. Production will be split into two batches of 250 over the next two years. With the first period ending on May 12, 2016, anyone looking to get their hands on the car will have to wait until next year. In addition to the 6,000 applications, over 200,000 people designed their own custom GT on Ford\u2019s virtual configurator.<\/p>\n

Ford GT Performance Specifications<\/h3>\n

Ford engineers went all-out with the design of the new GT car. The supercar utilizes a tear-drop body style that has been designed to be as aerodynamic as possible<\/a>. Under the hood, the GT uses a special 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. Ford expects the new engine to easily break the 600 horsepower mark. The sleek body design and powerful engine will work together to make the GT the ultimate Ford Performance sports car.<\/p>\n
