2017 F-150 EcoBoost Performance<\/h3>\n

An all-new 3.5-liter EcoBoost six-cylinder engine will be making its debut on the 2017 Ford F-150. This new engine is able to produce a 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. These numbers have been increased over the 2.7-liter EcoBoost offered on previous models. The torque number on the new EcoBoost is able to best all competing pickup trucks. This includes models offering V8 and diesel engines.<\/p>\n

The new engine will be paired with an all-new 10-speed automatic transmission. Utilizing a 10-speed transmission will allow the engine to provide better low-end and peak engine performance, maximizing the hauling and towing capabilities of the new F-150. A new dashboard display<\/a> will indicate which of the 10 gears the driver is currently using. Ford has invested significant resources in the company\u2019s Livonia Transmission Plant<\/a> to produce the new transmission.<\/p>\n
