How Does the 2018 Ford EcoSport\u2019s New Honeycomb Cargo Shelf Work?<\/h3>\n

The 2018 Ford EcoSport features a four-way parcel shelf in its expansive cargo area that is made up of 100 percent high-strength recycled paper honeycomb. Constructed from all-natural paper and water-based glue, this six-pound honeycomb floorboard is both eco-friendly and strong enough to handle nearly 700 pounds of cargo across its 38.5-inch by 25.25-inch surface. That\u2019s impressive in and of itself, but what\u2019s even more impressive is the number of ways you can configure the shelf to meet your needs. There are four different positions you can use in order to store whatever you need, whenever you need. In its lowest position, it serves as a load floor for maximum storage capability. In its middle position, it creates a secure storage area beneath the floorboard. In its highest position, the area underneath increases to create a cargo floor that lines up with the fold-flat second row of seats. It can also be removed and stored vertically against the back of the second-row of seats.<\/p>\n
