We\u2019ve seen an increase in the number of passenger airbags in new Ford models<\/a>, which we like to think is due to the fact that Ford is being more proactive about potentially dangerous situations. For example, even the Ford Mustang<\/a> now comes with available knee airbag protection as well as available inflatable seat belts.<\/p>\n

All of these safety features are incredibly innovative and often times taken for granted, but they are great for keeping everyone safe. However, in order to have these features work for you, they need to be on and working. How do I know if my passenger airbags are working in a Ford, you ask? Easy!<\/p>\n

Many of the newer Ford models come with passenger airbag sensors so you easily know if all of your airbags are working or not working, rather that crossing your fingers should you ever need them. These sensors also have a weight detection tool that will turn the airbag on and off, depending on whether a passenger or the appropriate weight is in the seat. This can be helpful if you get in a crash and you don\u2019t have a passenger because then that airbag won\u2019t deploy, which could potentially save you some time and money if repairs are needed.<\/p>\n
