This fuel efficiency test compared the top trims of each vehicle: the 2015 Ram 3500<\/a> Laramie Longhorn and 2015 Ford Super Duty F-350 <\/a>King Ranch. Both of these diesel trucks had dual rear wheels<\/a> and comparable power and torque. The Ford come out a little ahead on power, with 440 horsepower compared to the Ram’s 385 horsepower and they had very similar torque numbers at 860 pound-feet and 865 pound-feet respectively. The only major difference in the build of the vehicles was a different axle ratio.<\/p>\n The test was conducted and shared in the two videos below, but keep reading for simplified results.<\/p>\n The test was conducted on a highway loop of a total of just under 44 miles using a cruise controlled speed of 65 for most of the journey.
