The suite comes loaded with five standard safety features<\/a>, including automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, blind spot monitoring, automatic high beams and a rearview camera, plus an array of available features. How does Ford Co-Pilot360 Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking Work?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Pre-Collision Assist system utilizes front-mounted radar and camera technology to scan the road ahead for potential collision hazards. If the system detects a collision risk with a vehicle or a pedestrian, it will alert the driver with a row of red warning lights on the windshield, a warning chime and a warning message on the driver\u2019s information display. If the hazard continues to approach, the system will pre-charge the brakes for a more efficient stop. If a collision is imminent, the system can automatically brake to avoid or mitigate the collision.

How does Ford Co-Pilot360 Automatic High Beams Work?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Automatic High Beams feature automatically toggles between high and low beams so you don\u2019t have to. This system utilizes a camera mounted behind the rearview mirror to detect approaching lights up to 2,000 feet away. The features self-activates in low lighting at speeds above 25 mph. The system will automatically dim the headlights if it detects the headlamps or the tail lamps of a vehicle ahead to avoid blinding other drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
