2020 Explorer Cargo and Passenger Space<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ford has been anything but modest about the new Explorer, claiming the model holds the title for best-in-class cargo space. The company hasn\u2019t yet spilled any of the nitty-gritty details regarding that cargo volume, but we do know that the 2020 model maxes out 87.8 cubic feet of space with the second- and third-row seats folded. Crunch some numbers and you\u2019ll find that Ford has tacked on an extra 6.1 cubic feet to the Explorer\u2019s maximum cargo space. Ford also claims the model holds best-in-class titles for second- and third-row headroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 Explorer Technology Features<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since the debut of the 2019 Explorer<\/a>, Ford has also updated the Ford Co-Pilot360\u2122 Technology suite structure with a set of five standard features. With the revised suite, the 2020 Explorer\u2019s standard package now gains pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind spot and cross-traffic monitoring, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams and a rearview camera equipped with a lens washer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also now standard on the Explorer is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, FordPass Connect Wi-Fi capability and the 8-inch Sync\u00ae3 touchscreen. Would you like to supersize that? One of the more fascinating tech additions to the Explorer lineup is the available 10.1-inch portrait touchscreen. This dash-mounted, tablet-like display hosts a more user-friendly platform than your typical infotainment system, featuring swipe, pinch-and-zoom and split screen capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the 2020 Explorer\u2019s debut, Ford also introduced its new Active Park Assist 2.0 system. On the previous Active Park Assist system, the driver had to operate the accelerator and the brake while the vehicle steered itself into place.
