It’s not every day that a pope comes to American soil, and even rarer that one end up riding around town in a vehicle that just anyone will own. While popes in the past have done with high-end (and decidedly expensive) luxury vehicles for their rides, when Pope Francis drives around New York this week he will be in none other than a Jeep Wrangler<\/a>. You read right, Pope Francis will ride a Jeep Wrangler through New York.<\/p>\n

\n\"SideThere’s no information yet on exactly what make, model, year, or what kind of customization options His Holiness is going to need. Fortunately, the Jeep Wrangler is one of the most easily customizable vehicles<\/a>, so there are plenty of ways to make this Jeep perfect for the pope’s American visit.<\/p>\n

This will not be the first time this pontiff has taken to the streets in a Wrangler. When he visited Ecuador in July of this year he also rode in a Wrangler that had been adjusted to allow him to easily stand to wave at the crowd gathered to see him, and also outfitted with a canopy.\"Front<\/p>\n

It’s awesome that unlike popes of the past, Pope Francis is embracing simplicity and economy. While a Wrangler or any Jeep vehicle is certainly a high-quality and versatile vehicle, it’s not exactly in the price range of a Mercedes-Benz or a Tesla (and that’s a good thing). Anyone could drive<\/a> a Wrangler if they wanted to and have access to the great features and options of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The visit of Pope Francis to the United States is monumental and sure to make an impact on religious and non-religious folks alike. And it’s cool that he’s making the journey, assisted at least a little, by a Jeep!<\/p>\n
