Once the Lane-Keeping System has been activated, you can use the five-way control on the left-hand side of your steering wheel to adjust the system\u2019s settings through the message center in your instrument panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Note:<\/span> When the vehicle is turned on using MyKey, the Lane Keeping System will turn on automatically with \u201cAlert Mode\u201d selected.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\nTo switch between modes, select \u201cDriver Assist,\u201d then \u201cLane Keeping System,\u201d then \u201cMode.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alert \u2013 Warns the driver with three short steering wheel vibration when unintentional lane drifting is detected.<\/li> Aid \u2013 Applies steering torque to help direct your vehicle back into its lane when unintentional lane drifting is detected.<\/li> Both \u2013 Enables both the Alert and Aid modes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nTo adjust the strength of steering wheel vibrations while Alert mode is enabled, select \u201cDriver Assist,\u201d then \u201cLane Keeping System,\u201d then \u201cAlert Intensity.\u201d The system offers three Alert Intensity settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
High<\/li> Normal<\/li> Low<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\nNote that the lane-keeping system deactivates when the turn signal is engaged so it won’t interfere with intentional lane changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lane-Keeping System Icon and Color Meanings<\/h3>\n\n\n\n While driving the system will display a vehicle icon with lane markings in your vehicle\u2019s instrument cluster. The color of the lines displayed communicates important information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
