Setting Up Apple CarPlay<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Plug your iPhone into your vehicle\u2019s USB port using your Apple USB cable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: A message will display on your touchscreen asking if you would like to connect. Press \u201cContinue\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: A message will display listing the Apple CarPlay system\u2019s Privacy and Terms of Use Agreement. Press \u201cAgree\u201d to accept the terms and conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigating Between Apple CarPlay and Sync 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Pressing the \u201cSYNC\u201d icon on your Apple CarPlay home screen will bring you back to the Sync 3 home screen. Tapping the \u201cApple CarPlay\u201d tab along the bottom of the Sync 3 home screen will<\/p>\n\n\n\n

then bring you back to the Apple CarPlay home screen. Note that select Sync 3 features like navigation and Sync AppLink will not be available while using Apple CarPlay. You will have to disable Apple CarPlay to regain access to these features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disabling Apple CarPlay on Your Ford Vehicle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: Press the \u201cSYNC\u201d icon from your Apple CarPlay home screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: Select \u201cApple CarPlay Preferences\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3: Press the \u201cEnable \u25bd\u201d tile to open setting options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
