1.5L EcoBoost<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A 1.5-liter turbocharged engine will be featured on 2020 Escape S, SE and SEL models. The standard engine is actually a three-cylinder\u2014a first for a Ford engine. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the engine offers remarkable strength at 180 horsepower and 177 lb.-ft. of torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.0L EcoBoost<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 2020 Escape\u2019s second option, a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine maxes out the SUV for power. The hunk of machinery promises the model up to 250 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. This 2020 Escape engine option will be featured standard on Titanium models. This option will also be available Escape SEL models for an extra charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 Ford Escape Hybrid Engine Options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

2020 Escape Hybrid<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For 2020, a hybrid Escape model joins the lineup equipped with a 5.0-liter four-cylinder FHEV engine. Suited with a continuously variable transmission, the Escape Hybrid touts power ratings of 198 horsepower and 153 lb.-ft. of torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2020 Escape Plug-In Hybrid<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Also joining the lineup for 2020, an Escape Plug-In Hybrid will come equipped with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder PHEV engine, also paired with a continuously variable transmission. The plug-in model promises to be the most powerful hybrid option, offering 209 horsepower and 153 lb.-ft. of torque. Though an EPA-estimated range is not yet available, Ford holds that the Escape Plug-In will go about 30 miles on a full charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
