Availability and Transmissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The existing 6.2-liter Power Stroke V8 <\/strong>remains the standard option on the Ford F-250 and F-350 lineups. On the F-250, that V8 links to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The F-350 upgrades to the new 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also returning for MY 2020, the 6.7-liter Power Stroke Turbodiesel V8<\/strong> has been revised for maximum output. We\u2019re still waiting in suspense for Ford to release the specs on this engine, but we do know it will surpass the current generation\u2019s 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft of torque. The Turbodiesel is standard on the Ford F-450 and optional on F-250 and F-350 models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The headliner of the 2020 Super Duty engine line, the all-new 7.3-liter V8<\/strong><\/a> gas engine scores best-in-class ratings of 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft. The earth-shaking V8 is optional on the Ford F-250 and F-350 lineups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both the 7.3-liter V8 and the Turbodiesel now link to the 10-speed TorqShift automatic transmission<\/strong> as well. The all-new transmission offers a wider gear ratio span and a live-drive power takeoff. It also works to reduce emissions and minimize vehicle wear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
