What\u2019s New in Ford\u2019s SYNC 4 Infotainment System?<\/h2>\n

Last year, Ford announced that it would be setting out to offer North America’s freshest lineup by 2020. As 2020 now draws near, Ford launches its fourth generation of SYNC technology with enhanced graphics, functions and displays. The latest generation of Ford infotainment technology is set to make its debut on the 2020 lineup, though Ford hasn\u2019t yet shared which vehicles will feature the new software.<\/p>\n

This SYNC 4 technology is designed to run on a variety of display sizes ranging from 8 inches to 15.5 inches. The new software features enhanced graphics and 2x the computing power of SYNC 3, meaning smoother operation and crisper graphics.<\/p>\n

Offering cloud-based connectivity and conversational voice recognition, SYNC 4 delivers comprehensive internet search results from the road. This includes the ability to track down the latest traffic information and quickly browse digital owner\u2019s manuals.<\/p>\n

Ford\u2019s new SYNC 4 system gives users the power to multi-task efficiently and access information without needing to swap or tab through multiple screens. The full scale of functions offered may vary by vehicle and screen size. The all-new available 12-inch display benefits from a split-screen function that allows applications to be organized into larger and smaller windows.<\/p>\n

When paired with the 15.5-inch display, SYNC 4 streamlines the user experience with the addition of Adaptive Dash Cards. Listed horizontally across the home screen, the new Adaptive Dash Cards offer quick access to most recently used or popular features. The interactive cards provide an at-a-glance view of information from each application, as well as quick access to controls, allowing you to do things like pause or skip songs or hang up calls directly from the home screen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
