As Halloween approaches, and you and the kiddies are perfecting your costumes, it’s time to figure out where to show them off (and how to get the best candy haul while you are doing it). While trick or treating in your own neighborhood can often be fun and give you a really good haul, if you feel like traveling farther afield (but not too far) here are a few locations with an ideal family friendly environment.<\/p>\n

Winder Spooktactular<\/h3>\n

While we’ve mentioned this one before in our previous Halloween post<\/a>, it’s worth bringing up again. The Halloween Spooktacular Festival will run from noon until 11:00pm on Saturday, October 31. Kids activities, a costume contest, and trick or treating will all be free, and tickets for carnival rides will also be available. \u00a0More details here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You’ll also be right near Akins Ford <\/a>and able to check out our inventory of new Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram <\/a>vehicles if you so desire.<\/p>\n

Trick or Treat at the Mall of Georgia<\/h3>\n

On Saturday, October 31, trick or treating at the Mall of Georgia will start at 6:00pm and run until mall closing or when the candy runs out, whichever comes first (hint: it’s the candy). Ghouls and goblins (and their parents) who would like to have their pictures taken in costume can do so starting at 5:00pm at JCPenny. More details here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Northlake Mall Trick or treating<\/h3>\n

Mall-O-Ween at the Northlake Mall will run from 6:00-8:00pm. Trick or treating and costume appreciated is free, with small additional cost for various kids activities like a bounce house, glitter tattoes, crafts, or a Halloween Heist activity that will run at 6:00pm and 7:00pm. Trick or treating at the Georgia Aquarium<\/h3>\n

The Georgia A-scay-Um event gives kids a chance to trick or treat and see the neat animals at the Aquarium at the same time. The event runs 10:00am-4:00pm on October 31, 2015. Also kids in costume get in free with a paying adult. That’s an excellent way for that new, realistic Spiderman costume to pay for itself (not wall-crawling, please).
