The new F-150 leads the charge on efficiency with a 5.0-liter V8 which is available with a segment exclusive compressed natural gas\/propane gaseous fuel prep packages which promises to reduce carbon dioxide tailpipe emission and operating costs.<\/p>\n

This truck can also boast the highest EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of any full-size gas-powered pickup available today, with a whooping 26 mpg for highway driving with certain engines.<\/p>\n

New materials like lightweight (yet super strong) aluminum siding add to the improved mileage numbers for this truck, but other materials also help protect the environment. Available REPREVE fiber made from recycled plastic is an option for some cloth seating, some fuel lines are made from castor bean oil, and seats of post-industrial recycled cotton are all helping keep usable material out of landfills.<\/p>\n
