2019 Ford EcoSport vs 2018 Ford EcoSport
After emerging for the very first time in the 2018 model year, the EcoSport has already proved itself as a competitive force in the market for compact SUVs. Still, Ford keeps the momentum going with some changes to the lineup for 2019.
From an expanded exterior color selection to the updated feature list, there’s a lot to be excited about for the newest model year. See for yourself what this model has to offer for its second year on the market when we compare the 2019 Ford EcoSport with its 2018 counterpart.

2019 Ford EcoSport Updates and New Features
The externally mounted spare-tire option found on previous models is now gone, but we do see some features added to certain trims this year. For 2019, SE, SES and Titanium models add windshield wiper de-icers to their standard features lists. The SES and Titanium also get toasty with a now-standard heated steering wheel and heated side mirrors.
The SES gets some special attention for 2019. While the previous model’s interior trim was adorned with Orange accents, the 2019 model matures in appearance with a set of sleek Ano Grey appliqués. New for 2019, the available SES Black Appearance Package packs more personality into the SES trim, adding a black-painted roof and black hood decal.
The EcoSport carries over many of our favorite shades from the 2018 lineup into the 2019 model year, including Canyon Ridge, Smoke, Shadow Black, Race Red, Ruby Red, White Platinum and Blue Candy. Some new colors are introduced to the palette as well, including Diamond White, Moondust Silver and Lightning Blue. The new set of hues can be found on each of the four EcoSport trim levels.
