2019 Ford Fiesta vs 2018 Ford Fiesta
With nimble handling, a subcompact stature and fun styling, the Ford Fiesta has always been its own four-door party on wheels. But the Fiesta isn’t all about recreation. The playful Sedan-Hatchback model is also a surprisingly economical option with pricing starting under $15,000 and fuel economy ratings reaching up to 27 city / 37 highway.
Sweeping into 2019, a major trim restructuring brings some exciting changes to the lineup as a new sport-styled trim level enters the mix. Read on to learn more about what’s new in the Fiesta for this model year with this comparison of the 2019 Ford Fiesta vs the 2018 Ford Fiesta.
2019 Ford Fiesta Updates and Enhancements
For 2019, Ford drops the Titanium trim from the Fiesta lineup and patches in a new ST Line trim level. Slotting between the SE and the ST, the ST Line offers the ST’s good looks and creature comforts, minus the turbocharged engine, 17-inch wheels and 6-speed manual transmission.
In the cabin, ST Line models gain:
- Ambient lighting
- Driver’s seat manual-adjust lumbar support
- Aluminum sport pedal covers
- Leather-wrapped shift knob
- Leather-wrapped steering wheel with Red accent stitching.
The Fiesta's infotainment setup also gets upgraded in the ST-Line to a 6.5-inch touchscreen SYNC 3 system, which offers advanced voice-recognition, Sirius XM integration and more. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration even allow you to access your smartphone’s apps from the Fiesta’s touchscreen.
On the exterior, we see a distinct front fascia design and dual chrome exhaust tips. The new trim also gets some exclusive exterior styling details with a Shadow Black liftgate spoiler, roof and sideview mirror caps. Like the ST, the ST Line is offered only in Hatchback form.
