With the debut of the returning Escape Hybrid and the first-ever Escape Plug-in Hybrid, drivers now choose from four available powertrains: the 1.5L EcoBoost, the 2.0L EcoBoost, the Hybrid 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-cycle and the Plug-In Hybrid 2.5L iVCT Atkinson-cycle. The 2020 Sportage sticks to gas-powered variants, offering a 2.4L inline 4-cylinder engine and a 2.0L turbocharged GDI.
