What’s New in the 2020 Ford Transit Connect?
Among the biggest changes for model year 2020, all Ford Transit Connect models now come standard with Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection. If a frontal collision with a vehicle or pedestrian is likely, the Pre-Collision Assist feature helps to avoid or mitigate the impact by warning the driver, pre-charging the brakes and, if necessary, automatically applying the brakes. Rain-sensing windshield wipers and automatic headlamps are also made standard this year.
Some new for 2020 driver-assist features come wrapped up in the Ford Co-Pilot360™ safety suite, which is standard on all trim levels except for the base-level XL. Features found in the Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite include:
- Automatic High-Beam Headlamps
- Blind Spot Information System with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
- Lane-Keeping System with Driver Alert
- Adaptive Cruise Control
With all these new features now available, there’s even more reason to upgrade to the 2020 Ford Transit Connect. For more information on the Transit Connect compact van, please reach out to the Akins Ford staff or visit the dealership in Winder, GA to shop from Georgia’s largest Ford inventory.
