The 2021 Ford Escape comes with a wider selection of mechanical options, including a hybrid engine that will be available in 2021. It also gets a new infotainment system this year, which gives it one of the finest touchscreen interfaces in its class. The Ford Escape comes standard with a 4.2-inch touchscreen display, while the Ford Explorer comes standard with an 8-inch display. The higher-end trims of the 2021 Ford Escape come with two USB ports, the Co-Pilot360 safety suite, and satellite radio. The Explorer on the other hand is equipped with a number of convenience features such as Wi-Fi, ambient inside lighting, a Bang & Olufsen audio, and leather seats.
The 2021 Ford Escape comes standard with 17-inches steel wheels, chrome highlights, and LED headlights. The SE trim level adds larger alloy wheels to the mix. Packages are available that include heated mirrors, 19-inch wheels, and black exterior highlights. Roof rails and fog lights are standard on the SEL, while 19-inch wheels and LED fog lights are standard on the Titanium trim level. The Explorer on the other hand provides an option for roof rails only from the second trim level, and it comes with adaptive headlights and a convenient hands-free liftgate at the top level.
