This year America’s best-selling truck receives a suite of productivity-enhancing new features and updates that make it the perfect pickup for the worksite, weekend fishing trips, and everything in between. See why Ford is calling the next-gen 2021 Ford F-150 a pioneer in purposeful technology when we compare it with the outgoing 2020 Ford F-150 in this model comparison.
Every body panel in the new F-150 has been altered, but it still looks like the chart-topping truck we all know and love. Upon investigation you will notice restyled headlamps, a new power dome hood and wrap-around bumpers, higher front fenders, a tucked-in midsection, and larger-diameter tires pulled out three-quarters of an inch create a more menacing stance.

If the Ford F-150 is known for one thing, it’s offering more options and configurations than rivaling full-size trucks. In that spirit, Ford has always packed its flagship truck with plenty of engine choices. Now the 2021 Ford F-150 raises us its first-ever hybrid option – a 3.5-liter PowerBoost® Full Hybrid V6. Essentially, it’s a 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6 matched with a 35-kilowatt (47-horsepower) electric motor integrated into the 10-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission. What you get is an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 700 miles. The new hybrid joins the returning 3.3-liter V6, 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6, 5.0-liter V8, 3.5-liter EcoBoost® V6, and a 3.0-liter Diesel V6.
The redesigned F-150 goes heavy on features, highlighting several class-first features not found on any other truck in the segment. Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s new this year:
