The F-150 has been on the top of the list for best-selling trucks for quite some time now (over 30 years, in fact). And the Ford F-150's dominance marks it as the pickup to beat for market newcomers. The controversial Cybertruck won’t land in the same segment as the Ford F-150, but there’s plenty of reasons to compare these two attention garnishing trucks.
Love it or hate it, we just have to test the new Cybertruck against our own Ford fan favorite. Discover the differences in the advantages each truck provides in our comparison of the 2021 Ford F-150 versus the Tesla Cybertruck.

The comparison table shows there’s a lot to love about the 2021 Ford F-150. Plus, there are many other options to add. The standard Ford Co-Pilot360 advanced safety suite bundles several driver-assist technologies such as lane-keeping assistance, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, and so much more on top of that. And though safety ratings aren’t yet in, we don’t expect the new Tesla truck to take the win on this one.
In its entire history of selling vehicles, Tesla has only earned one safety award, and that was on the 2019 Tesla Model 3. The Ford F-150 has historically received high marks from organizations such as the IIHS and NHTSA, many years qualifying for the Top Safety Pick designation. At the peak of the lineup, the 2021 Ford F-150 Limited will feature automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, forward collision warning, and pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking.
