2022 Ford F-150 Lightning vs 2022 Tesla Cybertruck
There are obvious differences in the exterior design and construction of the two models. While the Ford F-150 Lightning has a conventional pickup truck design, the Tesla has an Origami approach. The only visible exterior difference between an internal combustion Ford pickup and the F-150 Lightning is the appearance of the LED head- and taillamp elements on the electric model. While there will be no mistaking the Cybertruck for any other vehicle, the conventional design of the F-150 Lightning is expected to appeal more to the existing truck market.

Although a lot of information is yet to be released for both of these models, we will try to compare the facts that we already know. For example, just like all the other F-series trucks, the F-150 Lightning has aluminum body panels whereas the Tesla Cybertruck works on cold-rolled stainless steel body panels giving it a unique look.

The Ford F-150 can accommodate up to five passengers and the standard instrumentation includes a 12-inch digital display for the driver and a 12-inches portrait-oriented touchscreen for the infotainment. This can be upgraded to a 15.5-inches center touchscreen on the upper trims, along with features such as 10-way power-adjustable seats, an 8-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, and leather seating surfaces.

The Tesla Cybertruck on the other hand features a conventional four-door cabin design that brings up the seating capacity to six. And, instead of a traditional steering wheel, the Cybertruck employs an aircraft-inspired yoke. A large 17-inches portrait touchscreen dominates the dashboard area and provides access to all the vehicle systems.
