The 2023 Ford Maverick Tremor will have five drive modes that can be selected based on the terrain or whether the driver is towing. The Tremor can tow a payload of 1200 pounds and pull a payload of 2000, 300 pounds less than the standard Maverick. The Maverick Tremor also has Trail Control, which controls the throttle and brakes to keep the vehicle moving at a fixed speed as the driver negotiates challenging off-road conditions. The Tremor rides on the unique front, rear springs, and dampers, receives a one-inch lift, and has modified half-shafts. A heavy-duty gearbox cooler and revised half-shafts should increase the Tremor's longevity when used off-road. The grille, wheels, and front ow hooks all have vivid orange elements that set the Tremor apart. These tow hooks are in the front bumper's newly built skid plates, allowing for a steeper approach angle. Along with tinted headlights and taillights, the Ford logos have been blackened out, and the 17-inch wheels are coated in a dark grey anodized finish with all-terrain rubber.
