Along the lower edge of the productivity screen in the instrument cluster, the Ranger offers a quick, at-a-glance headcount of buckled passengers at all times. The system also tattles on unbuckled occupants with its advanced two-row seatbelt monitoring system. When a second-row passenger unbuckles, a pop-up notification in the instrument cluster shows the exact location of the unbuckled seat so you can identify the culprit without ever taking eyes off the road.

Comparable seatbelt systems only monitor front and rear passengers as the driver initially pulls away. The Ranger’s system offers continuous feedback, meaning it will alert the driver when a passenger unbuckles while driving.

The Belt Monitor system made its first debut on the 2018 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. The Ranger’s Belt Monitor system is the first rear seatbelt reminder system to debut in Ford’s truck lineup. The system will also be available on the all-new 2020 Explorer and 2020 Expedition and will roll out across the entire North American Ford lineup over the next few years.
