All-New F-Series Super Duty Gains Off-Road Capability with Tremor Package

2020 F-Series Super Duty Tremor Package

It’s alive! It’s alive! With the debut of the maniacal new Tremor Package, Ford’s newest monstrosity bridges the gap between off-road prowess and aggressive towing and payload capability. The package suits the F-Series Super Duty with a new collection of hardware and tech designed to handle rough terrain. See what’s in store for what’s being called the most capable off-road Super Duty ever when we take a closer look at the new 2020 F-Series Super Duty Tremor Package.

Tremor Package Off-Road Features and Enhancements

The 2020 Ford Super Duty Tremor Package introduces the Super Duty series to its first-ever selectable drive modes system. Included in that system is a special Rock-Crawl mode designed to tackle particularly rough terrain. Also joining the off-road features list is the Trail Control system. First featured on the F-150 Raptor, Trail Control helps maintain a steady pace by serving as an off-road cruise control system.

The Tremor Package Super Duty stands on a set of 18-inch matte-finished black wheels wrapped in 35-inch-diameter Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac maximum-traction tires. These are the largest diameter tires available on a heavy-duty pickup.

Thanks to a 2-inch front-end lift and a shorter air dam, the Super Duty Tremor towers on and off the road with a generous ground clearance of 10.8 inches. What’s more, the model leads the segment in water fording up to 33 inches.

The Tremor also boasts an approach angle of 31.65 degrees and a departure angle of 24.51 degrees – the best of any Super Duty. Progressive-rate springs assist in both heavy-duty towing and controlling body motion over challenging trails. The rear stabilizer bar is tuned for a lower spring rate, making for a less abrasive ride over obstacles.
