New Ford SYNC3 infotainment features

Many moons ago, the word “infotainment,” wasn’t even a concept yet. If you think back to even 10 years ago, you were rolling pretty high if you had a CD player in your vehicle. Now, with the advancements in technology and prices of tech becoming more and more affordable, your options may seem unlimited as far as what types of high-tech features you can get.

One of the most advanced, high-tech, all-inclusive features available is Ford SYNC, which is actually so much more than just a feature; it is an infotainment system that can do everything from make phone calls to play music that is stored on your smartphone. All you need is a wireless Bluetooth connection and a smartphone and you are set.

Ford just recently came out with a new version of its elite infotainment system, Ford SYNC, that was upgraded for new 2016 model year vehicles to include enhanced capabilities as well as a few new Ford SYNC3 infotainment features such as Siri integration, which allows you to easily use apps on your smartphone to reserve a table at your favorite dinner spot, send a text message or get directions just through voice recognition.

Voice-activated technology lets drivers keep their attention on the road no matter what is going on. A few of the other new Ford SYNC3 infotainment features, include free 911-assist-calling, hands-free calling, enhanced voice-activated music search and control, an improved touch screen that responds in a very similar way to touch that a smartphone does and automatic climate control and automatic updates.

Ford SYNC3 is currently only available in the 2016 Ford Escape, but Ford SYNC is available with all new 2015 and 2016 model vehicles. The main difference between Ford SYNC and SYNC3 are the extra few features, then enhanced sensitivity to sound and touch, as well as a more responsive system.
