“SYNC, Ford’s entertainment and communications system, was designed to be flexible and updatable, just like other mobile technologies, so our customers are able to get the most out of their smartphones while behind the wheel,” said Sherif Marakby, director, Ford Electronics and Electrical Systems Engineering in a recent press release. “Siri Eyes-Free is another great voice-activated feature that not only adds convenience but helps our customers keep their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.”

Siri Eyes-Free Features on Ford Vehicles

With Siri Eyes-Free on Ford vehicles, drivers are able to take advantage of a host of features on their phones without taking their eyes off the road. Using natural language requests, drivers will be able to make phone calls to people in their contacts, look for the phone numbers of restaurants and other attractions, play music, set an alarm, check on the weather, get directions and both send and receive text messages.
Ford engineers continue to develop the next stage in easy and interactive technological advancements, like the Ford Sync Connect App coming out this spring and a host of other Driver Assist technologies.
