Our early look at the new 2022 Maverick has proven that Ford Motor Company is not afraid of straying from convention. Unlike most Ford trucks, there will be no 4×4 version of the 2022 Ford Maverick. Instead, an optional Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system is available for those who want it. However, there is a caveat. The 2022 Ford Maverick is slated to arrive at U.S. dealerships this fall, and its small, boxy demeanor breaks ground for a new era of more commuter-friendly trucks. The new hybrid compact pickup is also notably plumper in appearance compared to other Ford trucks. If the F-150 earns the title for popularity, we might list the Maverick under “most likely to leave an impression”.
