2016 Ford Super Duty Performance and Capabilities

Everything starts with the engine. Under the hood of the 2016 Ford Super Duty is a powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine. This engine delivers 385 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. If that’s still not enough power for you, the truck can also be equipped with a 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel V8. This turbodiesel pushes the horsepower rating up to 440 and the torque number up to 860 pound-feet. These powerful engines also make the Super Duty quick and fun-to-drive, despite the truck’s large size. The gasoline Super Duty was able to jump from zero to 60 in less than nine seconds.

Towing ratings are impressive with the diesel engine. Conventional trailer towing maxes out at 14,000 pounds, with fifth-wheel towing checking in at 16,600 pounds. The payload capacity of 2016 Super Duty maxes out at 4,130 pounds.
