2016 Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited 75th Anniversary Editions

The Jeep brand is turning 75 years old this year, and in honor if this anniversary, it is issuing each of the Jeep models in a specialty 75th Anniversary Edition with unique badging and Jeep-exclusive color options. We’ve already written about the specialty features available on the 2016 Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 75th Anniversary Editions, and now we are checking out the iconic Wrangler and Jeep Wrangler.

2016 Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary Edition Release Date

Coming to dealership showrooms in the first quarter of this year, the two-door 2016 Jeep Wrangler and four-door 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will be available in Jeep-specific Sarge Green, as well as Black, Rhino, Mojave Sand, Bright White, and Granite Crystal exterior body colors.

Interior features of the 2016 Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary Edition

Inside the cabin of the 2016 Jeep Wrangler special edition are plenty of other 75th Anniversary Edition features. The leather-trimmed heated seats will be accented with sport mesh inserts and contrast stitching, and feature the 75th Anniversary Edition logo. The Uconnect system with a 6.5-inch touchscreen and SiriusXM Radio will also be in the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Anniversary Edition.

Exterior Special Features for the 75th Anniversary 2016 Wrangler

A number of exterior features on the 2016 Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited will be accented in Low Gloss Bronze for the 75th Anniversary Edition. These include 17-inch wheels with Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor tires, grille throats and headlamp rings, unique steel bumpers both in the front and back, and front and rear tow hooks. Specialty Jeep badging will also be in Low Gloss Bronze, and the grille will be body colored.

The 2016 Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary Edition will also feature a power dome hood with functional air vents, a 75th Anniversary grab handle, off-road rock rails and an available rear locker. Each one will come with the Jeep Command-Trac 4×4 transfer case, Dana front and rear axles optimized for the toughest conditions, and either a 3.21 or 3.73 axle ratio.
