Say hello to the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica! Making its debut today at the North American International Auto Show, this new Chrysler minivan is set to take the world by storm with both a standard and hybrid form. While this baby may have developed out of the 2016 Chrysler Town & Country (and shares the name with a previously discontinued three-row crossover SUV), it blows all of its predecessors out of the water when it comes to great features, and exciting powertrain possibilities.

2017 Chrysler Pacifica Release Date

The anticipated release date for this vehicle is right around the corner. The standard Pacifica should start appearing at dealerships this spring, with the hybrid option arriving in the second half of the year.

2017 Pacifica Powertrain

The standard powertrain for the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica will be a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that will deliver 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. This vehicle will also be available in a plug-in hybrid model. This segment-first hybrid minivan will features two electric motors powered by a 16-kWh lithium-ion battery place beneath the second row seats to allow maximum cargo space in the back. The 2017 Pacifica will be able to travel up to 30 miles on a single full charge and deliver an estimated efficiency rating of 80 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent).

Family Comfort and Entertainment on the 2017 Pacifica

Beyond its fuel economy, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is a stylish, comfortable, quiet, and family-friendly environment. It seats up to eight passengers in premium comfort and features the easy-to-use Stow ‘n Go seats which can fold simply down into the floor.

The available Uconnect Theater entertainment system even makes keeping kids engaged in the back seats easier than ever. Two high-definition 10-inch touchscreens make it easy to watch movies, play games, surf the Web or stream content. Infotainment in the front seats will features an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen interface and compatibility with the Uconnect Access smartphone integration app.
