As we mentioned, the new Ford Flex lineup at Akins Ford near Atlanta, GA, features three trim levels. They are the new Ford Flex SE, the new Ford Flex SEL and the new Ford Flex Limited. These three 2018 Ford Flex trim levels share two engines, including a 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V6 engine that is standard for the entire 2018 Flex lineup. This engine is mated with a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission and offers the choice between front- and all-wheel drive. The power ratings for this powertrain are 287 horsepower and 254 pound-feet of torque, and the gas mileage ratings are 16 city MPG and 23 highway MPG with front-wheel drive or 16 city MPG and 22 highway MPG with all-wheel drive. A 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine is also available for all 2018 Ford Flex trim levels. This engine is also mated with a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission, though only all-wheel drive is available for this engine. The power ratings for this engine are 365 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque, and the gas mileage ratings are 15 city MPG and 21 highway MPG.
