Engine specs of the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport

The new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport comes with two turbocharged engine options. A 1.5L turbocharged I-3 engine with 181 hp is standard. This gives an output torque of about 190 lb.-ft. An additional 2.0L turbo-four engine with 245 hp and 270 lb.-ft. of torque is also available. Both of these engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic powertrain to provide maximum power output.

Off-roading features of the new 2021 Ford Bronco Sport

The 2021 Ford Bronco Sport is endowed with a plethora of off-roading hardware. The topmost trim has the upgraded 2.0L engine and is connected to an upgraded rear axle with clutch packs on each half shaft. This allows the all-wheel-drive system to send power to the wheel or wheels that have the most grip. It also acts as a rear axle locker and bias torque to the outside wheel. This helps improve the overall off-roading experience.

Another highlight of the Badlands trim is the knob on the center console behind the rotary shifter. There are five different G.O.A.T. modes available on this vehicle. The topmost trim has two additional modes including rock crawl and mud. Additionally, you can also manually engage the four-wheel-drive system, the rear axle, off-road cruise control, and such features using the buttons provided next to the knob.
