Unfortunately, we’re unable to give you any kind of specifics when it comes to things like power, gas mileage and capability ratings for the 2019 Ford Ranger, as Ford has not announced those yet, but we are still able to tell you quite a bit about what’s powering the all-new Ranger. Once you pop the twin-power dome hood of the 2019 Ranger, you’ll find a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that Ford promises will offer all the power, capability and efficiency you’ve come to expect from a new Ford truck. The powertrain of the 2019 Ranger also features direct fuel injection technology, twin-scroll turbocharger capabilities, an optimized sixteen-valve design, rugged and dependable forged-steel crankshaft and connecting rods, and updated and improved chain-driven overhead cams. Rounding out this impressive powertrain is a class-exclusive ten-speed automatic transmission.
