Our Akins Ford Blog has been full of new posts regarding the all-new 2019 Ford Edge lineup as we eagerly await its arrival sometime during the summer of 2018. But most of those posts have focused on specific all-new Edge trim levels – namely the 2019 Ford Edge ST and the 2019 Ford Edge Titanium Elite. This time around, however, we’re going to be looking at the all-new Edge lineup as a whole. More specifically, we’re going to check out the engines that make up the 2019 Edge’s engine lineup. So, without further ado, let’s check out the horsepower and torque ratings for the 2019 Ford Edge lineup.

Listing the Power Ratings for the Engine Lineup of the All-New Ford Edge at Akins Ford near Atlanta GA

The engine lineup for the 2019 Ford Edge lineup remains something of a mystery at this point in time. We know about two engines for the new Ford Edge lineup at Akins Ford near Atlanta, GA, but we’re not sure if there will be any other engines joining the fray. Considering the all-new 2019 Edge lineup will be offering the most powerful V6 engine in its class while also being one of the most fuel efficient SUVs available, we’re not sure if there needs to be a third engine option. But enough about whether or not the all-new Edge lineup will feature a trio of engine choices or a pair of engine choices. Let’s instead take a closer look at the two engines we do know about. Every 2019 Ford Edge powertrain will feature a standard eight-speed automatic transmission, with the 2019 Edge ST’s version featuring special quick-shifting capabilities. The 2019 Edge ST powertrain will also feature an all-new Sport Mode, while all the other 2019 Edge powertrains will feature Auto Start-Stop capabilities. As for the engines themselves, the bulk of the all-new Edge lineup will feature a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that provides 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque, while the all-new Edge ST will feature a 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost engine that provides 335 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque.
