Available on select Ford vehicles, Active Park Assist 2.0 makes parking in even the tightest parallel or reverse perpendicular spots simple with step-by-step guidance and surgical precision. This guide from the team at Akins Ford will provide instructions on how to parallel park using the Ford Active Park Assist 2.0 feature.

Parallel Parking with Active Park Assist 2.0

STEP 1: Press the Active Park Assist Button.

STEP 2: Activate your turn signal to indicate which side you would like the system to search for a parking spot. Continue driving forward.

STEP 3: Upon finding a spot, you’ll hear a chime accompanied by a ‘Space Found’ message on the touchscreen. When this happens, bring the vehicle to a stop.

STEP 4: Take your hand off the steering wheel, shift the car into neutral, and release the brake pedal.

STEP 5: Press and hold the Active Park Assist button and follow the prompts provided on your touchscreen. You can press the brake pedal to slow down or stop the vehicle as needed.

Note: You can cancel Active Park Assist at any time by letting go of the button or grabbing the steering wheel.
